The Coconino County Sheriff's Office officially identified the female body found last Friday near Sunset Crater National Monument as Sasha Krause, a 27-year-old woman from Farmington, New Mexico. Krause had been missing since the evening of Jan. 18, when she was last seen leaving her home in the Lamp & Light community near the Farmington Mennonite Church. The Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office is continuing their investigation into Krause's cause and the manner of the young woman's death. Jon Paxton, spokesman for the Coconino County Sheriff's Office, said the agency has not determined whether foul play was involved, but is also not ruling it out. "If you think about our department size, with as many detectives as we have, we had every detective on that case, working the scene," Paxton said.
