Dame Cressida Dick defended the police response to last night's vigil on Clapham Common, saying yesterday: 'We're still in a pandemic, unlawful gatherings are unlawful gatherings.' Campaign group Reclaim These Streets said: 'We've asked Met Commissioner Cressida Dick to meet us urgently to explain the actions taken by the police last night - before she reports to the Home Secretary. 'I recognise that the decision by the organisers to cancel the Reclaim These Streets vigil in Clapham Common was deeply unwelcome news.
