Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio was the top choice for president and vice president in the noncommissioned survey conducted by Octa Research, the same group that tracks the country’s Covid-19 cases. Marcos was the most preferred presidential candidate in the National Capital Region at 18 percent and in socioeconomic class ABC at 22 percent. She was also the top choice among all socioeconomic classes, while Domagoso was the top choice in Metro Manila at 15 percent. The face-to-face survey polled 1,200 respondents aged 18 and above across the country using multistage probability sampling. Metro Manila had 300 urban respondents, followed by Balance Luzon at 135 urban and 165 rural respondents, the Visayas at 110 urban and 190 rural respondents, and Mindanao with 70 urban and 230 rural respondents.
