Sara condemns unauthorized use of son’s photoMANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte condemned the unauthorized use of her minor son’s photograph to spread false information. “I have never used my children to advance my interests, and I strictly forbid them from engaging in political matters outside of our home,” Duterte said in a statement. Duterte was reacting to a social media post quoting her son asking people to “take care of my mother Inday Sara Duterte, she had dedicated her life for the welfare of the nation.”The vice president warned people against using children in spreading false information amid the country’s current political climate. “Let’s not let children be used to spread fake news in today’s dirty world of politics,” Duterte said. She said the protection of youth is the responsibility of every Filipino.
