In an interview with reporters on Wednesday, Duterte said that she supports a recently filed bill at the Senate that aims to prohibit the use of mobile devices and electronic devices within school premises during class hours. Senate Bill 2706, or the proposed Electronic Gadget-Free Schools Act, requires DepEd to create and implement guidelines on gadget use in all private and public schools. Under the bill, both students and teachers will be prohibited from using mobile devices and electronic gadgets during class hours.
