The government must fully implement the Chittagong Hill Tracts Peace Accord to fulfill its promises and ensure the rights of the people in this region, Parbatya Chattagram Jana Sanmhati Samiti (PCJSS) President Jyotirindra Bodhipriya Larma has said. At a program in Rangamati on Friday, he alleged that the full implementation had been ignored for the past 25 years. Better known as Santu Larma, he surrendered arms under an initiative the Awami League took on December 2, 1997, after a long armed struggle. “The entire government and state machinery are against the accord's implementation,” he claimed.
