Canada’s Santiago 2023 Pan American Games athletics team got their Games started Sunday morning, as Evan Dunfee finished 9th in the men’s 20km race walk event in a time of 1:22:14. Captain CanadaYou can’t have a team without a team captain and Team Canada has chosen a great one. 2021 Olympian Maddy Price accepted the honour today in Santiago. “We are so excited to be here with Team Canada and we can’t wait to start competing and performing,” Price said. “The Village is incredible and we’re just grateful to wear the maple leaf on our chest every day, whenever we get the opportunity.
