Our Special CorrespondentCalcutta: RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group has committed a cumulative investment of Rs 1,700 crore over the next three years in Bengal across four verticals, including a new carbon black unit and an FMCG park. "We are going to set up a new speciality carbon black facility in Durgapur with an investment of Rs 200 crore. RP-SG Group, which also acquired a Gujarat-based FMCG company recently, has a long-term investment plan of Rs 10,000 crore for this sector. In this proposed park, the group will be an infrastructure developer as well as a tenant. Goenka also announced an investment of Rs 1,000 crore to upgrade power distribution infrastructure .
