The San Diego Padres are going to make a uniform change in 2020. However, there have been new developments in this ongoing story that seem to indicate that when the Padres do make their big change in 2020, they will indeed switch back to brown. In a recent column from Bill Shaikin of the San Diego Union-Tribune, Padres executive chairman Ron Fowler made it clear that the franchise is indeed leaning towards going back to their classic colors. Fowler told Shaikin that "if [he] were a betting man, [he'd] say we're in brown uniforms in 2020" and that this is the Padres' effort to give their fans what they want. Either way, it's starting to look like 2019 will likely be the final season where we see the San Diego Padres wearing navy blue.
