Samuel L. Jackson has a bone to pick with Hollywood when it comes to casting black actors, specifically black British actors in place of African-American actors. In an interview with Hot 97 on Monday, Jackson cited Selma’s David Oyelowo and Get Out’s Daniel Kaluuya, both black British actors. “I know the young brother who’s in the movie, and he’s British,” Jackson said, referencing Get Out. “There are a lot of black British actors that work in this country. … They think they’re better trained, for some reason, than we are, because they’re classically trained.
