Previously on September 9, Singapore Airlines also banned the use of the Galaxy Note 7 on all of its flights. The same day, China Airlines and EVA Airways of Taiwan said they would not allow those phones in checked luggage. Korean smart phone maker Samsung announced a recall of 2.5 million phones on September 2 following reports of 35 explosions due to faulty batteries.
