Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr. Ahsan H Mansur said that Sammilito Islami Bank Limited has received new deposits worth Tk44 crore in the last two working days. "Sammilito Islami Bank has started regular transaction activities for the last two days. According to Bangladesh Bank, new deposits have been deposited in various Islamic banks in the last two days. Of this, Tk24.26 crore has been deposited in Exim Bank, Tk15.24 crore in Union Bank, Tk3.49 crore in SIBL, Tk48 lakh in First Security Islami Bank, and Tk62 lakh in Global Islami Bank. Central bank officials say that the regulatory body will continue to monitor the transaction activities of Sammilito Islami Bank around the clock to return it to normal.
