Samburu Central Police Commander Alex Rotich said the suspect, who fled after committing the murder, was arrested after the police got a tip off from residents. Mr Rotich said the victim, Julietta Amanikor, 82, succumbed to her injuries after the attack. He said initial investigations revealed that the two had a quarrel over a hoe which culminated into a scuffle. “He has a criminal record, having been arrested in the past for engaging in criminal activities,” he added.
