If not for Samantha Bland’s outstretched glove, the Nebraska softball team’s tournament finale might’ve ended much differently. Kinney did not allow a single hit during her 3 1/3-inning outing, earning a win for the second consecutive game. Bland's diving catch to end the game was one of several impressive defensive plays from Nebraska. Nine different Huskers have recorded a base hit so far this season, led by Andrews’ five hits across 14 at-bats. Next weekend Nebraska will travel to Las Cruces, New Mexico for a five-game slate at the Troy Cox Classic.
