DHAKA, Feb 25, 2024 (BSS) - Health and Family Welfare Minister Professor DrSamanta Lal Sen today found irregularities about different activities at theCentral Medical Stores Depot (CMSD) at Tejgaon here. Accompanied by senior officials of the health ministry, Samanta suddenlyvisited the CMSD to oversee its overall situation, an official release said. During the 35-minute visit, the health minister found emergency healthcareitems lying unused and dates of many healthcare essentials have been expired. At that time, CMSD officials could not answer most of the questions theminister asked. Coming across the irregularities, the health minister directed the depotofficials to submit a report to him in the next seven days, explaining whysuch a large number of healthcare products remained unused.
