Sam Lloyd, best known for his role as lawyer Ted Buckland on the hit comedy TV series Scrubs, died Friday. According to a Yahoo report, Lloyd was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour in 2019. A GoFundMe campaign was set up by Scrubs producer Tom Hobert and his wife. In a March 5 update, Hobert wrote that Lloyd underwent brain surgery to remove the tumour following targeted therapy treatments that lost effectiveness after nine months. Scrubs co-star Robert Maschio called Lloyd “the kindest man I ever met.
