Faith in Action has trained over 1,000 congregations in 21 states on how to provide sanctuary for immigrants —even if not taking them in physically, said Richard Morales, national coordinator of sanctuary activity for the organization. He said that at least 50 immigrants currently enjoy sanctuary protection across the country.
