REUTERS/Khaled AbdullahCAIRO – 4 December 2017: Former Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh announced on Sunday the dissolution of his partnership with the Houthi rebels amid heavy military clashes between his supporters and Iran-aligned Houthis in the Yemeni capital of Sanaa.The death toll from clashes erupted in Yemen between Houthi militias and the General People's Congress (GPC) forces, loyal to former president Ali Abdullah Saleh, rose to 200 on Sunday.Tanks and missiles were used in the face-off.Clashes erupted in Sanaa on Saturday after the Saleh forces controlled several Houthi-held sites in the Yemeni capital.Saleh launched a coalition with the Houthis in 2015 to fight against the Saudi led Arab coalition.
