Saleem Shahzad case: SSP Rao Anwar appears before court


KARACHI: Senior Superintendent of Police Malir Rao Anwar appeared before the court in the case against the former Muttahida Qaumi Movement member Saleem Shehzad. On November 28, SSP Malir Rao Anwar had submitted a written apology to a local court over his continuous absence from the court proceedings. Due to the continued absence of Rao Anwar, DSP Khalid and other personnel, the court had issued them a show-cause notice. Saleem Shahzad to form new political partyFormer senior Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader and aide of party founder, Saleem Shahzad announced his decision to form a new party and said he will contest next year’s elections from the city’s Orangi Town. In an informal media talk outside City Court, Shahzad said that he will also field candidates from various constituencies in the city.
