After the inspection, Darun held a meeting with Sakon Nakhon airport director Tippayawan Wangsanuwat and other officials to assess the situation. The department announced that Taxiway A was still under water hence the airport would remain closed until 9pm or further notice. The meeting will be chaired by Transport Minister Arkhom Termpittayapaisith and will be attended by Sakon Nakhon governor Witthaya Chanchalong. The department announced that as Nok Air had cancelled its DD9402/03 flights from Don Mueang to Sakon Nakhon and from Sakon Nakhon back to Don Mueang on Saturday, the airline is flying two extra flights in the neighbouring province of Nakhon Phanom.
