Sahraouiya Sporting & Solidarity Event kicks off in Dakhla

The Moroccan southern city of Dakhla is hosting the 6th edition of the “Sahraouiya” event or Women Challenge for Solidarity, with the participation of over 100 women of various nationalities, representing more than 50 women’s associations. The event, held under the high patronage of King Mohammed VI from Feb.6 to 15, is considered as a sporting challenge aimed at mobilizing and consolidating women’s solidarity initiatives through sport. It allows each woman involved in associative action to live a new experience, combining sport, challenge and discovery in an exceptional spot. The Association of Friends of the Pink Ribbon, which supports women with breast cancer, joined the sporting and solidarity challenge since 2016, to become one of the associations that the “Sahraouiya” supports each year through the participation of teams that represent it. The “Sahraouiya” contributes to the promotion of women’s sport in the southern regions, through the project “Sport nature solidaire pour toutes”, carried out in partnership with the Phosboucraa foundation.
