Members of a delegation of British Conservative MPs from the House of Lords, on a working visit to Morocco, said, Thursday in Laayoune, that they have been “impressed” by the level of development in the Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra region and the projects launched in all areas. This visit has allowed the Lords to see on the spot the dynamics of socio-economic development in the region, said the British MPs, after talks with elected officials and the director of the Regional Investment Center (CRI). In a statement to the press, Lord Stuart Polak, who was visiting the city of Laayoune, for the first time, noted that this trip allowed members of the delegation to learn about the “impressive” level of development in the southern provinces. Polak also stressed that this visit aims to learn about the investment opportunities offered by this region, especially in the fields of energy and agriculture. “This region has a strong commercial potential especially in terms of export and import, since it is an entry point for products from different countries of the world,” he said.
