LAHORE: Women Development Department (WDD) on Friday inaugurated Safe Bus Stops for women in a bid to promote their protection and end harassment at public places. The WDD Secretary expressed these views while addressing the inaugural ceremony of Safe Bus Stops for Women at Model Town Bus Stop on Friday. Speaking on the occasion, Bushra Aman said that WDD had initiated public service awareness messages to stop harassment of women at the public places. Maryam Khawar said that the campaign posters were pasted on several bus stops. A large number of women, civil society members and the staff of WDD were also present on the occasion.
