The Safari Rally story is awash in social media with many regrets but the unexpected happened when Covid-19 visited the entire planet, locking down many nations. The Safari was postponed on May 15 after three months of agonising wait following the Covid-19 pandemic which also affected the FIA World Rally Championship. The next one year will see the team led by the WRC Safari Rally CEO Phineas Kimathi and Event Director Jim Kahumbura fine-tune to deliver a world-class event. The WRC Safari was last held in 2002 before being dropped from the championship due to safety and lack of sponsorship.
