Sadio Mané has given Liverpool a major injury scare after he hurt a shoulder during training on Wednesday morning, with the forward taken to hospital to undergo checks. Mané suffered the problem in a collision during a session at the club’s Melwood training centre and was taken to the Spire Liverpool hospital immediately. The Senegalese was Jürgen Klopp’s marquee signing of the summer after costing £30m from Southampton so any serious injury would represent a considerable blow to the manager before Saturday’s trip to Burnley. Mané enjoyed a successful debut on Sunday, playing all of Liverpool’s 4-3 victory at Arsenal, the 24-year-old forward scoring what proved to be the winner on 63 minutes.
