Highlighting the importance of safe food in ruling Awami League’s election manifesto, he said: “We will work as per the prime minister’s instruction aiming to ensure food security and safe food for the people.”The food minister also sought cooperation from all quarters to maintain the continuity of development and progress of the government. Sadhan Chandra, a valiant freedom fighter of 1971, took oath of office along with his colleagues in the new cabinet at a ceremony at Bangabhaban in Dhaka on Monday afternoon. He is also serving as the general secretary of Awami League’s Naogaon district unit.
