The learners from the Newlands school played in the Franchise finals in Paarl on Thursday 8 March and lost to Paarl Gimnasium. “The boys won one and lost the main one. The opportunity came after Sacs won the Western Province Coca-Cola® Schools T20 Challenge played at Rondebosch Boys High School, on Saturday 23 February and Sunday 24 February. Sacs captain Daniel Smith says: “We did extremely well to win the provincial finals since we are a team made up of Grade 10s and 11s.We do not have any matrics in the team.”He says they have always struggled to beat Rondebosch Boys’ High and the win gave them satisfaction.
