(CNN) Sacramento mayor and former NBA star Kevin Johnson was hit in the face with a pie Wednesday night. A man walked up to the two-term mayor at a community benefit at a local high school, grabbed him and slammed a pie in his face, said Crystal Strait, the mayor's press secretary. The suspect was identified as Sean Thompson, 32, who suffered minor injuries during the incident, according to the Sacramento Police Department. "The mayor is doing well and appreciates everyone's support," Strait said.
