Sabra recalls hummus in Canada amid listeria fears

WASHINGTON—Some varieties of Sabra hummus sold in the United States and Canada are being recalled amid concerns over possible listeria contamination. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration says listeria was identified at the manufacturing facility, but not in the finished product. The Canadian Food Inspection Agency said on the weekend that there’s been no reported illnesses in Canada linked to the hummus. The voluntary recall by Sabra Dipping Company includes hummus products with a “Best Before” date of Jan. 23, 2017, or earlier. Sabra’s organic hummus, salsa, guacamole and Greek yogurt dips are not included in the recall.
