Sabra Canada Inc. is recalling certain Sabra brand hummus products from the marketplace due to possible Listeria monocytogenes contamination. The hummus was sold across the country and the recall affects a variety of flavours in various sizes. A Listeria monocytogenes infection can also cause pregnant women to have premature delivery, infect the newborn or cause a stillbirth. There have been no reported illnesses associated with the consumption of these products, according to the food inspection agency. It says a recall in another country triggered this recall and it is conducting its own food safety inspection.
