KOTA KINABALU: The government ongoing efforts to close the gaps between peninsular Malaysia and Sabah as well as between regions in the state have borne fruit through various initiatives. “Such efforts take time, commitment and support of all stakeholders and I am glad to see that things have improved. “The government in consultation with its various stakeholders also plans and implements programmes and policies that are suitable for the nation at any particular time. “I call on Malaysians in Sabah to ignore calls by those who are bent on creating discord through parochial thinking and statements. He also touched on security in particular within the Eastern Sabah Security Zone, where the government was doing its best to maintain security in the state safe.
