KOTA KINABALU: A police report has been lodged by caretaker state Youth and Sports Minister Phoong Jin Zhe against an individual for threatening to release a purported intimate video featuring the incumbent Luyang assemblyman and his girlfriend. Dismissing it as dirty politics, Phoong said the individual called Jordan Lim on Facebook had urged social media users to share posts featuring the Sabah DAP Youth chief and his girlfriend in a picture in exchange for a purported “sex tape”. “I would never expect that Sabah politics remains so low and dishonourable. He said that aside from lodging a police report, he had also consulted his lawyer and is currently mulling legal action. Nominations for the 16th Sabah state elections will be held on Sept 16 and polling on Sept 26.
