NigeriaNs must be shocked by the shenanigans going on in the South-West with regard to the race for the national chairmanship of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Of the geopolitical zones in the country, only the South-West is yet to produce a national chairman for the party once described as Africa’s largest. It is in this regard that I believe that PDP affairs are national affairs. The contenders for the position of PDP national chairman in the South-West need to reflect deeply on the implications of their in-fighting and disunity. A PDP led by a chairman from the South-West, the home of Nigerian intellectualism, certainly has a lot to offer the nation.
