SWS: Filipinos hold much trust in US, neutral with China


More Filipinos have expressed much trust” in the United States while they showed a neutral stance towards China, a nationwide Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey taken in the last quarter of 2017 revealed. The SWS, in its poll results released Wednesday, revealed that Filipinos have “very good” in three countries: United States with a +68 net trust rating, Canada with +55, and Japan at +54. The poll, meanwhile, found “moderate” net trust ratings for six countries: Singapore at +29, Malaysia at +20, Thailand at +19, Indonesia at +18, Brunei at +16, and Vietnam at +13. ADVERTISEMENTIt also found “neutral” net trust ratings with four countries: China at +7, Myanmar at +8, Cambodia at +7, and Laos at +3. North Korea was the only country that received a “poor” net trust rating among Filipinos, registering a -19 net trust rating in the survey.
