SSS Commissioner Pompee La Viña issued the directive after receiving complaints that checks issued by the office did not reach the intended beneficiaries who filed for a loan with the SSS at the regional office here. He likewise directed the SSS regional office here to file criminal charges against those involved in the anomaly. La Viña also asked the SSS members who failed to receive their checks to fill up the required forms at the SSS regional office so that a new check could be issued in their name. “The SSS could recover the money from the bank if found that it was withdrawn illegally,” La Viña said. The SSS regional office here has already filed cases against 500 companies that failed to remit the SSS premiums of its members.
