The incident took place at her residence in the Akur Takur Para area on Sunday. The deceased, Mohasheta Saha Urbi, was the daughter of Department of Youth Development official, Provat Chandra Saha. Confirming the matter, Tangail Model police station SI, Manik Chandra Dey, said: “After the incident, the deceased’s family members took her to Tangail General Hospital, where she was declared dead. “The body was handed over to the family after the autopsy was done, but we are yet to identify the reason for the suicide.”
