SSC exam 2017: Candidate turns up to exam centre with 'fake finger', arrested


NEW DELHI: A 'dummy candidate' was arrested in Alipur on Saturday for turning up to the SSC exam centre with a 'fake finger'.The candidate was nabbed at the exam centre when his 'fake finger' fell to the ground while giving the biometric attendance. The SSC officer at the centre was immediately called and police arrested him after recovering the fake finger , admit card and other documents.The police have identified the candidate as Vikrant, a resident of Modinagar in Ghaziabad. He was at the exam centre to give the test in the name of Sachin, a resident of Sonipat.As the students started entering the exam halls on various floors, a turn-wise biometric checking was initiated by the authorities. It was during this checking that Vikrant was caught as his 'fake finger' fell, giving him away. On further enquiry, he admitted to the crime and was then nabbed by the police.
