The SRT announced on its website that it will seek the budget starting from the 2019 fiscal year to develop the D-ticket system. The system will allow passengers to buy e-tickets through all channels, including website, a mobile app and at railway stations. Conductors aboard trains will also be equipped with handheld computers to sell tickets in case passengers board before they can buy tickets, the SRT announced. Passengers can pay by cash or by money transfer from bank accounts, depending on the way they choose to buy the e-tickets via the D-ticket system.
