SRT accused of ignoring Buri Ram woman injured in train mishap

The December 26 mishap left Nisachon Noppakhun of Phlubphlachai district in Buri Ram unable to work, her family said on Thursday. The third petition, addressed to the governor of the State Railway, was given to Banjong Janthorn, superintendent of Buri Ram Train Station. Nisachon and her husband Theerasak and child had boarded the Ubon Ratchathani-Bangkok train in Buri Ram’s Krasang district and were travelling to Ayutthaya. She was rushed to Buri Ram Central Hospital with a serious head injury, broken shoulder, fractured ribs and widespread bruising and spent two months recovering at hospital and at home. The family said Nisachon was left unable to work and her husband’s wages as a construction worker were insufficient for their needs.
