Ethiopia and Liberia have become the latest African countries to announce the cancellation of their leagues due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Ethiopian Football Federation declared the 2019/20 Premier League season “null and void”. This means Ethiopia will have no representative for the 2020-21 CAF inter-clubs competitions. In Liberia, the 2019/20 Orange National League season has been nullified without promotion or relegation. Mauritius became the first African country earlier this month to call a halt to its season.
