The SPFL season hangs in the balance after it was announced just one club needed to vote in favour of the resolution to end the campaign now. All 42 members were asked to vote on a proposed resolution put forward by the SPFL board to end the season now. Clubs were set a deadline of 5pm, with Rangers making it clear they were against the proposal to cut the season short. The vote only immediately affected the lower leagues, but the Premiership would be stopped if it became clear the season could not be completed. Both the Premiership and Leagues One and Two passed the vote but there remains one club yet to register their decision, leaving them short.
