When one thinks about old-school hardcore/punk, the word ferocious “brevity” certainly comes to mind first. The Goons were a hardcore/punk band from the Washington DC area that was active from 1994-2006. The band will be releasing their first official live LP Live at the Black Cat on DCxPC on January 20th (which is a Florida live recording label that patterns itself after the classic VML Records label). DCxPC started during the pandemic and has so far done short-run vinyl from Ann Beretta, Curtains, Call In Dead, Ratchet Boys, etc. Glide is premiering the fast, curious, and undeniable punk hooks of The Goons on “Hey You” off Live at the Black Cat.
