The SNP's "high tax" ways have been exposed as actually REDUCING the amount of revenue brought in by the Scottish Government. Humza Yousaf added a new band in his budget which hiked up tax even further for high earners as well as middle class families. The two studies cited looked at changes to income tax introduced in 2018-19, which was when tax was bumped up by the SNP. Under the current regime, people in Scotland earning £26,562 a year or more pay more income tax than those in the rest of the UK. Scottish Tory Finance Spokesman Craig Hoy said: "This stark warning from the IFS must be taken on board by the high-tax SNP government.
