Celebrations were delayed in most Elgeyo Marakwet schools following troubles with the SMS query service for KCPE tests. Jacob Toroitich, head teacher Sacred Heart of Jesus Academy in Iten, said they were forced to use Airtel following the delays. "We have tried to query the results through Safaricom but we have not received the results," he said. At nearby Salaba Academy, anxious parents turned up to wait for the results following the delay. She said results of only two candidates who scored 414 and 407 marks had been received through the SMS service.
