( Supplied photo )Ontario’s Special Investigations Unit is looking into the death of an Indigenous man who died in Thunder Bay police custody Wednesday evening. “The (coroner) couldn’t tell me anything about what happened to Roland,” she said on the phone from Thunder Bay. York Region police are looking into circumstances involving the deaths of two Indigenous youths, whose bodies were found in Thunder Bay waterways in May. An inquest investigating the deaths of seven Indigenous teens in Thunder Bay finished about a year ago, which produced 145 recommendations.
