The Special Investigations Unit is investigating after one man was injured during a police pursuit, following a violent home invasion in Scarborough Friday night. Police rushed to the area in Benshire Dr. and Jarwick Dr., near Lawrence Ave. E and McCowan Rd. The chase began outside of the home on Benshire Dr. and ended in the schoolyard of Bendale Public school. A 25-year-old male suspect was shot by the officers, Hopkinson said. Two police officers also suffered non-life-threatening injuries during the pursuit.
