SHC rejects petition seeking division of Sindh into separate states


KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday rejected a petition seeking the division of Sindh province into seven independent states. The court heard the petition filed by a citizen, Azmat Wali seeking the division of Sindh province into seven independent states. The petitioner stated that the people of Sindh are facing immense problems. The court asked the petitioner to tell one of the articles of the constitution through which new states could be formed in federal Pakistan. He stated that Sindh should be divided into seven independent states including Karachi, Hyderabad, Mirpur Khas and Nawabshah.
