The SET index was down 26.48 points, or 1.73%, to 1,501.78 just minutes after the open. “If tensions stabilise or de-escalate, Thai energy and petrochemical stocks are expected to remain key beneficiaries, supported by elevated crude prices. The broader Thai market could rebound strongly and potentially hold onto gains, given the heavy weighting of energy shares,” Mr Piriyaporn said.
