The rally was organised by Sanwo Eko Movement in conjunction with the Arewa community. The Chairman of Arewa Community, Lagos State, Alhaji Dandanma Muhammadu, said the group believed in the party hence the reason they came en masse to support and endorse the APC governorship candidate in the state. Muhammadu said Tinubu had the loyalty of the Arewa community, noting that they had been following him since the days of the Alliance for Democracy. Speaking in pidgin, he explained, “We, Arewa Community in Lagos State, it is not the first time, not the second time (that we have been supporting the APC). We, members of the Arewa Community in Lagos State, are Asiwaju’s followers.
