THE Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) is warning the public against investing in Extreme Hataw Enterprises, which is posing as an online “paluwagan” scheme. In an advisory posted Wednesday, the SEC said it received information that a group of persons were enticing the public to invest, with potential members required to shell out P300. Extreme Hataw Enterprises claims it started the business as early as 2015 and that its operations are legitimate. “[On] the Facebook account of one of the Extreme Hataw Enterprises associate, the latter is enticing the public to join the said entity with a promise of turning their 300 pesos investment into 10,000 pesos,” the SEC said. Apart from Extreme Hataw Enterprises, the SEC earlier announced an expanded list of entities engaging in the same activity.
